Chris has been in Wisconsin this past week. He was able to make a presentation about the work of Bible translation at David’s Star Lutheran Church in Jackson last weekend. Then, he manned a booth at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary’s Mission and Ministry seminar on Tuesday through Thursday, and also met with several individuals throughout the week.
Those paying attention to the weather will note that there was a rather fierce blizzard Tuesday night (our friend Mark, a former missionary, said it was “just like Siberia”) that shut down the conference for Wednesday. This meant Chris had to give his presentation at an alternate time to a much smaller audience than he had hoped for, but he still made many good contacts. And worship at the Sem was a real treat!
Friday the 4th saw Chris at Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton, leading chapel and talking about his work in Senior religion classes. Thanks to all the teachers that made that possible.
Finally, Chris will be speaking at the end of every church service at St. Matthew Lutheran in Appleton this weekend (Saturday night and Sunday morning) before driving back to Ohio Sunday evening (and perhaps catching a certain sporting event on the radio).
A huge thanks to everyone who hosted Chris this week and gave him so many venues to speak about our work with the Nsenga. Our team of partners keeps growing as day by day we get closer to Zambia and the Nsenga people.
